Programmed Skilled Central West are seeking a Hydraulic Fitter / Field Service Technician to carry out diagnosis and repairs on mobile and fixed hydraulic equipment. This casual ongoing role offers growth opportunities within the business and will provide you with full product and job training to set you up for success.

The role is based at the Service and Supply Centre in Dubbo with travel to customer sites within Dubbo and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for performing field-based hydraulic services, including replacing hoses in breakdown situations and completing new installations on a variety of machinery.



Key Responsibilities:

As a Hydraulic Field Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems on both mobile and fixed equipment.
  • Disassembling and reassembling components to identify and resolve hydraulic system faults.
  • Carrying out general repairs and maintenance on hydraulic systems.
  • Identifying and remanufacturing hydraulic hoses and other components.
  • Mechanical installations for a variety of machinery and systems.



What We’re Looking For:

If you have hands-on experience as a Light to Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, with strong industry knowledge in hydraulics and mechanical maintenance—and you're looking to transition into a new field where your transferable skills can add value—we want to hear from you.

To be successful in this role, you will generally have:

  • A professional and proactive approach to work.
  • Relevant industry experience in hydraulics or mechanical maintenance.
  • Trade qualifications (required).
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in the field.
  • A current LR driver’s license (or willingness to obtain).
  • A Forklift License.
  • A White Card (Construction Induction Training).
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
